This book gives an introduction into the delightfully diverse world of jazz and how it has grown into the everyday music that we hold dear to our heart. Jazz is a highly improvised art form which lends itself to the listener, this means that you may hear the same song played 5 times and it sound a different way every time. The student will act out their interpretation of the song using hand puppets in a puppet stage.
I just recently co-taught an elementary class and it was quite interesting! I will answer some questions and provide some information on what the lesson was like. The kids really seemed to enjoy singing and moving around to the music. Because they enjoyed it, we enjoyed it as well. 2What is one thing you would do differently if you taught the lesson again? .
