검색하다 우연히 내가 예전에 쓴 글을 발견했다. 존재조차 잊고 있었던 블로그 였는데, 그 사이 많은 사람들이 다녀갔고, 댓글도 달려있고. 10년 동안 사용한 컴퓨터와 이별한 날. 10년 전 조립해 지금까지 사용했던 정들었던 컴퓨터가 드디어 오늘 생을 마감했다. 몇 일 전부터 조짐이 않좋더니, 데이타 복사를 복사하고 난 후, 이제는 더이상 아무런 신호도 들어오지 않는다. 그 놈도 그동안의 정이 있었는지 데이타 복사하는 동안은 무사히 버텨줬다. 10년 동안 연결되어 있던 모니터 케이블과 키보드, 마우스, 전원선을 제거하고 덩그러니 남아있는 케이스를 보니, 케이스 이름이 millennium이다. 10년 동안 봤으면서도 그놈 케이스의 이름을 처음으로 읽어본 것 같다. 다음 주면, 드디어 millennium도 일부 장기 이식하는 절차를 거쳐 이 집을 떠나갈 듯 싶다. 10년의 정 때문에 이별이 아쉽기는 하지만 더 이상 붙잡을 수도 없게되었다.
