I made it through the winter without much adventure, mostly keeping busy in London visiting museums, seeing friends, and eating out. But I finally got a break over the Easter holiday when I joined my lovely mother on a trip to Belgium and Northern France to see various WWI and WWII sites. It even had their insignia in the stained glass.

Thankfully, our Fijian guides all had many years of experience and most of the other trip-goers looked less coordinated than Jared and me. We set off around 9am and drove an hour and a half into the in.

Saturday, September 6, 2008. Thursday, August 28, 2008. First off, Eric is indeed still on this trek despite his lack of posts. He has been using his internet time to buy parts for the Rwanda hydro project, while I, lacking such a noble task, wile away the time writing these posts and reading the New York Times. We also met a guided group and quickly became friends with a father and son pair of French Canadians, so by evening we were excited for the next day.
