Fast food for the soul. Once upon a time, a good many years ago, there was a traveller, and he set out upon a journey. It was a magic journey, and was to seem very long when he began it, and very short when he got half way through. He travelled along a rather dark path for some little time, without meeting anything, until at last he came to a beautiful child.

Having been a student of literature, I like many others was rather dismissive of popular fiction. Ashamed to admit that I had spent many days and nights devouring the works of Mario Puzo and Sidney Sheldon. The beginning of the story seems promising and the end of Chapter 2 hints at ominous things to come.
