The Log of a Beginning Public Historian. The Second World War for Twelve year-olds. These last few weeks our class participated in a Dutch middle-school project called Oorlog in mijn Buurt. Even though today I found out that teaching kids is really not my thing, I think the project has a great aim and I look forward to seeing the kids talk with the Second World War survivors. I think that will make for some wonderful experiences. I hope the kids will think so too.
