The Angels of Rome! April 8, 2015. Here is the image I mentioned above of the Ara Coelis. This large monument has two identical sculptures on its top, and can be seen from all around the city. Here is another angel figure from the Ara Coelis, likely a representation of Winged Nike or Winged Victory. This is a relief sculpture on the Arch of Constantine with a winged figure, possibly a guide or muse, or another figure of Victory.
Michael Drummond makes Rome his home. I was in charge of making the sbrisolona cake. Sbrisolona is a typical desert originating from Mantua, in the south of Lombardia. It was typically made with flour, lard and nuts in the form of a dry, crunchy cake with no filling. The traditional recipe dates back to the 17th century and was often a sweet made by peasants.
