CCS 2nd Grade Common Core Math. Wednesday, June 6, 2012. We completed our math and ELA local assessments. We used school time, study group time and personal time in order to accomplish this.

Monday, April 15, 2013. It has been useful to have this time to more deeply examine the standards and also to look at possible tasks that would apply to the standards. Everyone in our group will take the survey again to see if there was any growth in knowledge about the standards or mathematical practices. The more we know about the standards and the mathematical practices, the better we are equipped to implement the common core standards in our classrooms.
Thursday, May 2, 2013. Though the study group included teachers who work with Kindergarten through Third Grade students, our main focus was on Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and First Grade. We are pleased with the growth we have noted, and feel our work in the study group has helped us tailor lessons to meet the needs of our students and to help our students prepare to achieve the level of learning outlined in the Common Core.
